Calendar View
Navigate your maintenance schedules using Day, Week, and Month calendar views with color-coded task status indicators.
Visualize your maintenance schedule on a calendar
The calendar views give your team a time-based perspective on upcoming, current, and overdue maintenance tasks. You can switch between Day, Week, and Month views using the segmented control at the top of the Active Schedules card.
Navigate to Maintenance, then select Day, Week, or Month from the view toggle.
Three calendar modes
The Month view displays a full calendar grid for the selected month, with weekday headers (Sun through Sat) across the top.
Layout
- Each day cell shows the date number in the top-left corner. Today's date is highlighted with a filled circle using the primary brand color.
- Days outside the current month appear dimmed.
- Up to 2 task previews are shown in each cell. If a day has more than 2 tasks, a "+N more" label appears below the previews.
Task previews
Each task preview inside a day cell shows:
- A colored dot indicating status (red for overdue, amber for due today/due soon, green for on track)
- The task description or equipment name
- The assigned team member name (abbreviated as "First L.")
Navigating months
Use the left and right chevron buttons at the top of the calendar to move to the previous or next month. The current month and year (e.g., "March 2026") are displayed between the arrows.
To jump back to the current date, select the Today button in the card header.
Clicking a day
Click any day cell to open the Day Details Sheet -- a slide-out panel on the right side of the screen that lists all tasks for that day. See the Day Details Sheet section below.
The Week view shows a 7-day horizontal grid spanning Sunday through Saturday for the selected week.
Layout
- Each day column has a header displaying the abbreviated day name (e.g., "MON") and date number. Today's column is highlighted with a primary-color border and ring.
- Below each header, task cards are listed vertically. If a day has no tasks, the column shows "No tasks".
Task cards
Each task card in the Week view uses a compact format:
- A colored dot (red, amber, or green) for task status
- Equipment name in bold
- Task description below the name
- Assigned team member abbreviation
The card background changes based on status:
- Overdue tasks have a light red background
- Due today / Due soon tasks have a light amber background
- On track tasks have a neutral muted background
Navigating weeks
Use the left and right chevron buttons to move to the previous or next week. The header displays the date range (e.g., "Mar 1 -- Mar 7, 2026") between the arrows.
Clicking a day header
Click the day header in any column to open the Day Details Sheet for that date.
The Day view focuses on a single day and shows all tasks due on that date in a detailed list.
Layout
The header displays the full day name (e.g., "Wednesday") and the full date (e.g., "March 12, 2026").
If no tasks are due, the view shows an empty state with a calendar icon and the message "No tasks scheduled -- There are no maintenance tasks due on this day."
Task cards
Each task in the Day view uses the full (non-compact) card format:
- Equipment name (or "General Task" for non-equipment tasks) as the card title
- Task description below the title
- Status badge (Overdue, Due today, On track) on the right
- Settings icon to edit the schedule
- Metadata row showing frequency, equipment type, room location, and assigned team member
- Reassign button to change the assignee for this specific date without changing the default assignment
- Assign across dates button to assign this task for a range of dates
- Mark Complete button in green to complete the task
- View SOP link if the task has a linked Standard Operating Procedure
Navigating days
Use the left and right chevron buttons to move to the previous or next day.
Reassigning tasks for a specific date
In the Day view, each task card has a Reassign button (or Assign if no one is assigned). Clicking it opens a popover where you can select a team member. This creates a date-specific override -- the assignee changes only for this particular date, not for all future occurrences.
If a task has been reassigned for the current date, the assignee badge appears in an amber highlight with the label "(this date)" to distinguish it from the default assignment. A Revert to default button appears to undo the override.
Color coding for task status
All three calendar views use consistent color coding:
| Status | Dot / Background Color | Badge Color |
|---|---|---|
| Overdue | Red dot / Light red background | Red destructive badge |
| Due today | Amber dot / Light amber background | Amber badge |
| Due soon (within 7 days) | Amber dot / Light amber background | Amber badge |
| On track | Green dot / Neutral background | Green outline badge |
| No history | Green dot / Neutral background | Gray outline badge |
Day Details Sheet
The Day Details Sheet is a slide-out panel that appears when you click a day in the Month or Week view. It provides a focused list of all tasks for the selected date.
What it shows
- Title -- The full date (e.g., "Wednesday, March 12, 2026")
- Subtitle -- The number of tasks scheduled (e.g., "3 maintenance tasks scheduled")
- Task list -- Each task is displayed as a full task card with status, frequency, room, assignee, and action buttons
Available actions
From the Day Details Sheet, you can:
- Mark Complete -- Complete a task directly from the sheet
- Edit schedule -- Open the schedule editing dialog via the settings icon
- Reassign -- Change the assignee for the selected date
- View SOP -- Navigate to the linked SOP if one exists
The Day Details Sheet is especially useful in Month view, where day cells only show 2 task previews. Click any day to see the full list of tasks with all details and actions.
Selection mode and batch assignment
When you need to reassign multiple tasks at once:
Enter selection mode
Selection mode is activated from the batch assign flow. When active, checkboxes appear on each task card and on each day header (in Month and Week views).
Select tasks
Click individual task checkboxes to select specific tasks, or click the day-level checkbox to select all tasks for a given date.
Apply assignment
The Batch Assign Bar appears at the bottom of the screen showing how many tasks are selected. Choose a team member from the dropdown, select whether to Set as default assignee or Assign for these specific dates only, then select Apply.
